PALS Course

Prerequisite:  Current Healthcare Provider CPR Card.

Course Overview: Our Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course  involves multiple learning activities; including instructor led discussions, instructor led skills practice and evaluations.  We use the same technique as our basic life support course and our ACLS course of lecture followed by immediate skills practice to reinforce student learning.  Students spend a large portion of their time in the learning lab where learning objectives are reinforced with hands-on practice.  They also must learn to function as a team and provide all aspects of patient care in this highly dynamic environment.

Students practice patient care, communication skills and teamwork in an emergency setting.  Our learning lab is a replica of an emergency room, with fully functional equipment and well-stocked supplies.  When coupled with our non-threatening Master Train learning environment, students overcome performance fears and venture to learn!
